Week Three: Day 2: Peace Out! (The 1960s)



Activity 2: Rock ‘n’ Roll


The Beatles

 Thousands of people loved them and were called fans, they followed them around to see them.


Police used dogs to clear crowds from verandahs and other vantage points.

A team of 30 police officers, some in plain clothes, was on hand.

This all sounds very crazy.

    Hi James

    Beatle-Mania must have been so crazy back in the 60's. They had so many screaming fans chasing them around and waiting for them where ever that they went. Imagine having to sneak around places to get anywhere without people spotting you.
    I don't think that there are many groups or bands that have fans like this that are that crazy.
    Lots of people got hurt because they were pushing fences over to try to get closer to the band.
    Do you know any beatles songs?
    My favourite is Hey Jude?
