Activity 1: Hairy Maclary
Down the street and across the road went Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy
Into a cake shop and under the table.
Hairy Maclary was trying to steal cakes, his favourite cake was chocolate cake.
But the cake shop keeper saw what Hairy Maclary was trying to do and chased him out of the shop.
Hairy Maclary wondered what to do next?
So he walked down the street until he came to a park. The park was full people eating food. Hairy Maclary thought this was great and went to see if he could make a friend who might feed him.
Hairy Maclary found a little girl who started to pat him and then she gave him a treat.
Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy was so happy that he decided to go back home and have a sleep.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your Hairy Maclary story. It is great to see Hairy going on a new adventure. I can just imagine him trying to get some chocolate cake and being chased out of the shop. The picture that would go with that page of the story would be quite funny.
I love that he meets the little girl and makes a new friend and that she gives him a treat.
What sort of treat was it?
What sort of dog do you have at home?
I have a golden retriever named Bella, she loves to swim at the beach!
