week 4, day 5, Bonus Activity: Blade Runner 2049

Bonus Activity: Blade Runner 2049

In 2099 I think the world will be very different.
I think everyone will have a free hover bike and all the cars and bikes will be able to fly everywhere, and go backwards as well.  You will be able to tell the car where you want to go and it will drive there by itself for you.
The house's will be full of technology and everyone will have robots to do all the work for them.
I would like to be around for this time to see all the cool stuff and ride in the flying cars if it ever happens.

week 4, day 5, Activity 2: Flying Cars

week 4, day 4, Bonus Activity: Singing a Different Tune

Bonus Activity: Singing a Different Tune

My favourite song is:

Imagine Dragons - Thunder
Written by Alexander Grant, Dan Reynolds, Wayne Sermon, Daniel Platzman, Ben McKee, Jayson Dezuzio

Here are the Lyrics:

Just a young gun with a quick fuse
I was uptight, wanna let loose
I was dreaming of bigger things
And wanna leave my old life behind
Not a yes-sir, not a follower
Fit the box, fit the mold
Have a seat in the foyer, take a number
I was lightning before the thunder

Thunder, thunder
Thunder, thun thunder
Thun thun thunder, thunder, thunder
Thunder, thun thunder
Thun thun thunder, thunder

Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder
Thunder, thunder
Thunder

Kids were laughing in my classes
While I was scheming for the masses
Who do you think you are?
Dreaming 'bout being a big star
They say you're basic, they say you're easy
You're always riding in the back seat
Now I'm smiling from the stage while
You were clapping in the nosebleeds

Thunder
Thunder, thun thunder
Thun thunder, thunder, thunder
Thunder, thun thunder
Thun thunder, thunder

Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder
Thunder

Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder, thunder

Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
Thunder, feel the thunder
Never give up, never give up
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
Never give up on your dreams
Thunder, feel the thunder
Never give up, never give up
Lightning then the thunder, thunder
Never give up on your dreams

Thunder, thunder, thun thunder
Thun thunder, thunder
Thunder, thunder, thun thunder
Thun thunder, thunder
Thunder, thunder, thun thunder
Thun thunder, thunder
Thunder, thunder, thun thunder
Thun thunder, thunder

week 4, day 4, Activity 2: Country Calendar

Activity 2: Country Calendar

The most interesting thing about being a farmer would be that you are not doing the same job everyday. Also working with animals would be fun.
The most challenging thing would be having to get up so super early every day and not getting a day off.
I would like to be a farmer one day and I would like to farm sheep and cows.
I would like this because I could ride a 4x4 motorbike everyday and have lots of dogs.

week 4, day 2, Bonus Activity: Shake it Off

Bonus Activity: Shake it Off

The Merengue

Merengue was made the official music of the Dominican Republic by Rafael Trujillo. In one version, the dance originated from the enslaved laborers working in sugar beet fields. These workers were connected to one another by a chain strapped to their ankles and had to walk in such a manner as to drag one leg.

By the 1940s and 1950s it was performed with accordions

Merengue was first mentioned around the middle of the 19th century and has locally been very popular since then. The genre was later promoted even more by Rafael Trujillo, the dictator from 1930 to 1961, who turned it into the country's national music and dance style. In the United States it was first popularized by New York-based groups and bandleaders like Rafael Petiton Guzman, beginning in the 1930s, and Angel Viloria y su Conjunto Típico Cibaeño in the 1950s. It was during the Trujillo era that the merengue "Compadre Pedro Juan", by Luis Alberti, became an international hit and standardized the 2-part form of the merengue.[3]

This information was taken from the internet.

To Miss Hygate,

I am writing to you to ask that you give the students at Kumara School more free time in class.

The reason we need more free time is because we don't get enough of this.

I think this is important as it would make my day more fun.

half  cup of cocoa
200g of melted butter
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups of flour
3 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp coffee
1 cup of boiling water

Mix all of the ingredients together well for 3 minutes and then put in a cake tin and bake in the oven for 1 hour at 180 degrees.  This is a very chocolatey mud cake.

Week Two, Activity 2: Day 5: Coming to an End

Making a Fashion Statement

I would not like to have to wear any of these clothes that they had to wear back in the old days.  They look horrible and hot.  Today kids get to wear shorts and t.shirts and jandles.  It is much more relaxed now days and we get to pick what we want to wear ourselves and not get told what we have to wear.  It was very strict back then.
In 65 years from now I think the clothes will be the same as now.
